After a long wait, Ubisoft have announced the dates that the BLAST Copenhagen Major will be taking place, details of the venue, and more, alongside ticketing being released and details of the packages on sale.
As it stands, the major will have three phases, as follows:
- Stage 1, between the 24th and 27th April
- Stage 2, between the 29th April and the 3rd May
- Stage 3, with spectators in The Forum Copenhagen, between the 5th and 7th May
Stage 1
In this stage, 16 teams from nine regions will compete in a combination of BO1 and BO3 games across four groups, seeded taking into account home regions and performance in these regions. The top two teams from each group at the end of the stage will advance to the next stage of the major.
Stage 2
Following on from stage one, stage two takes the top eight teams from the first stage, along with the eight teams that directly qualified from their respective closed leagues. A Swiss format will be used to determine teams that will be eliminated from the major alongside those that progress to stage three.
Stage 3
The final stage will see spectators invited to The Forum in Copenhagen, with games using a single elimination bracket to determine the two teams that progress to the Grand Final, a BO5 match to determine the winners of the Copenhagen Major.
Tickets
Tickets for the event start at €25 for a one day ticket, but can reach €140 for the most expensive package.
